Fortlawn Estate Water Outage

The Area Engineer has reported a problem in Fortlawn Estate today where youths have opened the fire hydrants in the estate causing a huge loss of water from the network. The Inpsector made efforts to close the hydrants but could not as the youths were throwing stones at him. Due to health and safety conserns for council staff, they will not be making further attempts today in this regard and it is therefore necessary to turn off the water supply to the whole estate until tomorrow morning.
