Summer Holidays For Mobile Library

In line with previous years, the operating times of the Mobile Library and Housebound services will be adjusted in accordance with the school calendar and summer holidays. Primary schools are the predominant users of the Mobile Libraries and during their holiday period the service will be suspended temporarily from Monday 2^nd July to Friday 31^stAugust 2012.

 Both the Mobile Library and Housebound services will resume during the week of Monday 3^rd September.

Fingal Libraries wishes to minimise any inconvenience this may cause by advising users that they can:

· Borrow extra items for July and August from the Mobile and Housebound services, to have an extra supply of library material for the summer period.

· Borrow from any of the network of nine branches throughout the County.

· Access free online services from www.fingalcoco.ie/library such as downloadable audio books, e books, language learning tutorials and courses on crafts, homes and gardens, cooking, computers, exercise and fitness, entrepreneurship, arts and music.

In order to maximise staff resources and to maintain a high standard of customer care at peak times, Balbriggan and Malahide Libraries will close from 1pm to 2pm on Fridays and Saturdays from Friday 15^th June to Saturday 1^stSeptember.

All other branches and services will operate as normal during this period. Details of the summer timings will be on the council website, Face Book and on Twitter over the coming days.
