Council Gears Up for Sea Gull Attack Season

Fingal County Council has commissioned a survey to establish the number of breeding gulls nesting on residential houses and industrial buildings in Howth, Skerries and Balbriggan and is inviting observations from residents regarding the location of the birds.

Last year agressive gulls attacking local residents and school childrenmade national headlines.Though they are protected under EU directives the government allowed the removal of nests and eggs from roofs of houses and businesses in Balbriggan.
