Outgoing CEO Terry McCabe stated: “I have really enjoyed working with Blanchardstown Area Partnership. It has been an honour and pleasure to work with the fantastic team at BAP. Without their commitment and hard work we could not deliver our successful programmes to the people of Fingal.
“I am delighted to hand over to Adeline O’Brien. I know that Adeline will lead the company and staff to further success in the coming years. I am of course sad to be leaving colleagues that I have worked with for so long, but I am looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead in retirement.”

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Chairman Kieran Dennison, said: “Terry has made a tremendous contribution to the local community in her twenty years working with the Blanchardstown Area Partnership. The company grew significantly in that time to meet the challenging social and community needs in Dublin 15.

“Over the past four years her skilled management enabled the company to deliver for an increased client base, despite reduced resources and budget cuts. This was also recognised when the BAP was awarded the contract to deliver the Social Inclusion and Activation Programme for the whole of Fingal.

“We will miss Terry but we are honoured that someone of the calibre of Adeline O’Brien will lead the Partnership in the challenging years ahead. Adeline has worked in the sector for many years and brings a wealth of experience to the role.”

Adeline said: “I am delighted to accept the role of Chief Executive with the Blanchardstown Area Partnership and look forward to continuing the excellent work which the BAP staff are delivering through our programmes to the people of Dublin 15 and the county of Fingal.”
